Festivals & Events

BBQ, BEER, MUSIC

The Great American BBQ & Beer Festival

Arizona's biggest and best BBQ festival is held each year in Downtown Chandler. For the past seven years I have spearheaded the marketing, public and media relations, cross promotions and social media efforts for this delicious event. I'm proud to share that through my efforts this event has see an increase in attendance of 75%. My efforts earned over 30 TV segments, 200+ print and online articles and reached over 6,000,000 through social media impressions.

Held for just one day only, the fest draws nearly 40,000 hungry patrons - nearly double the attendance in it's early years. Other event highlights include national headlining entertainment, over 40 BBQ vendors, craft beer and a huge kids zone.

LET'S TACO 'BOUT IT

Rockin' Taco Street Fest

The Rockin' Taco Street Fest started as a small parking lot event at El Palacio Restaurant in Chandler. to celebrate Mexican Independence Day. After five years of continuous growth, my team decided to move it to Downtown Chandler and develop it into a huge festival.

With a ton of creativity, fun branding and awesome entertainment elements we took this small 1,000 person parking lot event to a 10,000 person celebration in 2017.

In 2018, we grew the event even larger adding a low rider car show, wrestling, mariachi music, a salsa competition and twice as many taco vendors. All major news outlets covered the event including a four hour block of weather segments with 3TV live on site during event setup.

This has been my favorite of all of the events to work on. Everyone loves tacos!

CHECK OUT THOSE CANS

ameriCAN Canned Craft Beer Festival

One of the most labor intensive events on my roster, ameriCAN celebrates the canned craft beer revolution! Bringing together over 100 breweries from across 20 states to compete in nine categories of craft beer excellence.

This sudsy event is a beast of an undertaking when it comes to public and media relations, social media and marketing, but I've loved every minute of it. I have been able to gain local and national media attention for this festival with over 20 TV segments and 200 print / online stories.

Working with such a huge group of talented breweries, getting to see their beautiful can art work and tasting the best craft beers is not a bad time at all.

BABY, YOU'RE A FIREWORK

Ahwatukee Red, White & Boom

An annual Independence Day celebration in Ahwatukee, this was a fun event put on by the Ahwatukee Chamber of Commerce. During the five years that I worked with this great team, we were able to get the event media attention across all major networks each year, provide valuable fireworks safety segments and tips to the public, and increased attendance by 50%.

SanTan Brewing Oktoberfest

Beer, brats and bands! An annual celebration of SanTan Brewing Company's anniversary, this is a very unique Oktoberfest event. From headlining national entertainment to beer games, food vendors and hand crafted local beer, it has been really exciting to represent this event for the past seven years.

In 2018,  we were able to increase attendance from 15,000 to 20,000 patrons due largely to my marketing efforts and five local TV segments, 40+ print and online media articles, cross collaborations with media partners and social media strategies.

PINCH TAILS,

SUCK HEADS

Southwest Cajun Fest

When Abita Brewing is involved, it's always a great time! I have been working on the Southwest Cajun Fest since its inception, on the ground floor in concept development, taglines, branding, language, public relations, marketing, social media, you name it.

Now in its sixth year, this event has grown in leaps and bounds. It started with about 4,000 patrons the first year to a whooping 15,000 in 2019.

This year, on our media tour, I was able to book Angry Crab Shack and Abita Brewing on five local morning shows and we had a blast sharing the fun culture of Cajun food and Louisiana style beer.
