Cock N’ Tails Modern Brasserie Brings American Fare, Drinks & Late Night Bites to Uptown in January

Opening in January 2020, Cock N’ Tails Modern Brasserie is a place for rock stars and groupies to drink, dine and grab late night eats. This new hot spot will be decked out in eclectic rock memorabilia amidst an elevated chef driven menu packed with classic American dishes and handcrafted cocktails.

Owner, Kurt Johnson, an Ahwatukee native who left the valley to pursue a career in music, is bringing a Sunset Blvd rock and roll vibe to the Uptown Phoenix neighborhood.

“I spent seven years in the music scene in LA working the Sunset Strip bar scene and recording music at my own studio in North Hollywood. Those years were some of the most amazing times in my life, I grew so much and really honed my craft,” said Kurt Johnson, Cock N’ Tails owner.

“While I was in the studio recording I started thinking about the idea of opening a bar and how cool it would be to model that bar after what I was seeing and experiencing in the music scene. I wanted it to look and feel like being in the studio. That’s what I’m hoping people will take away from their experience at Cock N’ Tails.

With Johnson at the helm, his long time friend and chef, Donna Sites, will serve as the Executive Chef at Cock N’ Tails. Sites brings great experience, she spent ten years opening and operating multiple hotel food and beverage outlets for Kuber Hotels in Phoenix. Sites has developed a menu that features an array of classic American dishes like steak, salmon, pasta, burgers, chicken pot pie, flatbread pizzas and a few unexpected dishes like bone marrow and pate.

Cock N’ Tails is located at Seventh Street and Bethany Home Road, 6101 N Seventh Street, Phoenix and will be open Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday, 4 p.m. – midnight and Thursday-Sunday, 4 p.m. – 2 a.m. Visit online for more info: www.cockntails.com.
